SYNOPSIS
edrc/etc/logrotate.cfg

DESCRIPTION
This is the configuration file for the
logrotate
command.
FILEFORMAT
The fileformat is
OPTION=VALUE
Between the
OPTION,
the
=
and the
VALUE
are no spaces.
Rows starting with a
#
are considered as comments.
You should not comment out any
OPTION
If you like to use
default settings simply do not specify a
VALUE.
OPTIONS
- LOGBASE
-
basedir of the logrotate logfile (
logrotate.log
).

Example: LOGBASE=`homedir ACME`/log
Default: LOGBASE=`approot`/var/log
- DEFAULT_SAVES
-
Default number of file generations kept. This setting
applies if the
-r number_of_saves
option is not specified on the command line.

Example: DEFAULT_SAVES=5
Default: DEFAULT_SAVES=10
