NAME

ipsort - filter for sorted output of IP addresses

 

SYNOPSIS

edrc/bin/ipsort [ -h ]

 

AVAILABILITY

DESCRIPTION

With this command you can sort a data stream which has IP addresses in the first column.

 

OPTIONS

-h
usage message

 

EXAMPLES

"1. Sorted output of the /etc/hosts file"


myhost:[1] cat /etc/hosts | ipsort

"2. Sorted output of the NIS hosts map"


myhost:[2] ypcat hosts | ipsort

"3. Sorted output of the actual routing table"


myhost:[3] netstat -rnv | ipsort
